Scottish Bran Scones

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces self raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon caster sugar
  • 2 tablespoons natural bran
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 ounces butter
  • 7 fluid ounces milk

Directions

  • 1 sieve dry ingredient.
  • 2 mix in butter with a fork.
  • 3 use as much milk as required to make a very soft dough.
  • 4 shape into a thick round.
  • 5 score into a quater and dust with flour.
  • 6 bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • 7 170 Celsius.
