Ingredients
- 4 fish fillets
- cornflour
- 2 cups plain flour
- salt and pepper
- 10 1/2 fluid ounces beer
- oil, for deep-frying
Directions
- 1 Dust fish fillets with cornflour.
- 2 Mix flour, salt and pepper.
- 3 Add beer gradually, stirring well until smooth.
- 4 Dip the fish fillets into batter.
- 5 Cook in hot oil until golden brown.
- 6 Drain on absorbent paper.
- 7 Serve with lemon wedges, tartare sauce and hot chips.
