Caramel Frosting for Angel Food Cake
Time: 15 mins
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 1/4 cups powdered sugar
Directions
- 1 Melt the butter in a saucepan and then add the brown sugar.
- 2 Boil and stir for at least one minute.
- 3 Take the saucepan off the heat and add the milk.
- 4 With a hand mixer beat in the powdered sugar, one cup at a time until the spreading consistency is right for you.
- 5 It should not be a very thick consistency for angel food cake, because it will harden as it cools.
