Cheese Danish Coffee Cake

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 1/2 cups baking mix
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions
- 1 Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 Prepare CHEESE FILLING:.
- 3 Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and almond extract until smooth.
- 4 Reserve.
- 5 CAKE:.
- 6 Heat butter in 13 x 9-inch pan in oven until melted.
- 7 Rotate pan to spread butter.
- 8 Mix baking mix, egg, sugar, milk, oil, and almond extract in bowl.
- 9 Beat vigorously for 30 seconds.
- 10 Spread batter in pan.
- 11 Pour Cheese Filling evenly over batter and cut through mixture about 10 times.
- 12 Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- 13 Cool 15 minutes.
- 14 Drizzle with POWDERED SUGAR GLAZE:.
- 15 Mix powdered sugar and water until smooth and easy to drizzle.
- 16 Sprinkle with nuts.
