Cheddar Onion Drop Biscuits--Reduced Fat

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter, chilled
  • 1/4 cup shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1 cup fat-free buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup fat free sour cream

Directions

  • 1 Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
  • 2 Cut in butter until crumbly.
  • 3 Stir in cheese and chopped onions.
  • 4 Stir in buttermilk and sour cream until just moist.
  • 5 Drop by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet and bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes or until edges are golden and tops are slightly brown.
