Ketchup Marinade for Steak or Chicken
Time: 8 hrs 5 mins
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup onion
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
Directions
- 1 Dice onion very finely.
- 2 Add all other ingredients.
- 3 Stir well.
- 4 Pour over chicken or steak.
- 5 Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours.
- 6 Remove meat from marinade and cook on barbecue to desired doneness.
- 7 Pour marinade into a small pot and bring to a boil.
- 8 Reduce heat and simmer until fairly thick.
- 9 Serve warm sauce on the side.
